About this event
The European Union ends summer time on the last Sunday of October at 01:00 UTC, the same moment the UK does, which is why the one-hour gap between London and Paris, Berlin or Madrid never changes. Central European Summer Time (UTC+2) reverts to Central European Time (UTC+1), and Eastern European Summer Time (UTC+3) reverts to UTC+2. The EU voted in 2019 to abolish seasonal clock changes, but member states have never agreed on whether to settle permanently on summer or winter time, so the changes continue.
