Privacy policy

The short version

Time.wales is a static website. It has no user accounts, no login, and no database of visitors. We do not ask you for personal information and we have nothing to sell.

What stays in your browser

Two preferences are saved in your browser’s local storage: whether you prefer a 12-hour or 24-hour clock, and whether you use the light or dark theme. These never leave your device and are not readable by us. Clearing your browser data removes them.

Your time zone is detected by your browser to display times locally. This detection happens entirely on your device and the result is not transmitted or recorded.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand which pages are useful and which are not. It records page views, approximate location at country or city level, device type and referring site. Google may set cookies to do this. We do not use analytics data to identify individuals, and we do not combine it with any other source.

If you would rather not be measured, any standard browser tracking protection, ad blocker, or the “Do Not Track” setting will prevent the script from loading. The site works identically either way.

Fonts and third parties

Typefaces are served from this domain rather than from a third-party font service, so no request is made to an external provider when a page loads. Apart from Google Analytics, the site makes no third-party requests.

Hosting

The site is hosted as static files on Cloudflare’s network. Cloudflare processes standard server request logs, including IP addresses, for security and delivery purposes, as described in its own privacy documentation.

Children

This site is a general-purpose reference tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page will be updated.
