Black Friday follows US Thanksgiving on the fourth Friday of November. UK retailers now run their own sales on the same date, and because Wales is five hours ahead of New York, British deals typically go live well before American ones, many UK sites open at midnight GMT, which is 7:00pm Thursday on the US east coast. If you are tracking a US retailer’s launch from Wales, a 12:01am Eastern start is 5:01am in Cardiff.
